Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder was born on Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her for the town she grew up in. Michel Horowitz is her father and Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder is Jewish. Ryder believes that her father came from an ethnically Jewish origin. Ryder has two half-siblings younger than her, Jubal and Sunyata. When Ryder was just seven years old, her family relocated to Mendocino County California. The family didn't have electricity. There was no television books was her only source of entertainment to spend the time and she began to read extensively. Ryder started taking classes in acting at the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 at the age of 12 years old. In the year she turned fifteen, she landed her very first role on screen, in Lucas. Ryder had to deal with bullying throughout her teenage years. Her hope was that her career in acting would change the way she dealt with bullying. Sadly, this didn't occur. It didn't stop her from making plans for her future. In 1988, in the year Tim Burton released Beetlejuice that she got her big break. Ryder was later cast in success in roles. In 1993 she won an Academy Prize to be awarded for The Age of Innocence.
